During his 31 years with ATC he was able to acquire high quality expertise in preparing master plans, many of them dealing with sustainable cultural tourism development, marketing and management, including managing cultural heritage projects and working for UNESCO on a number of Cultural & Natural World Heritage Sites, such as the Plitvice lakes, of Croatia, the Wachau Valley of Austria and Petra Archaeological Park, Jordan. Mr Czerny also worked as an educator and trainer in numerous workshops on cultural and social issues in many parts of the world, mostly in the context of EU-funded projects.
Dr. Markus Grillitsch
Partner of ATC Consultants, Markus holds a doctoral degree in socio-economic studies from Vienna University of Economics and Business. Since 2012, he has been affiliated with Lund University where he, among others, teaches in the prestigious Masters Programme for International Development and Management. He combines a proven track record of implementing large-scale projects funded by the EC and other donors, working as team leader and technical expert on projects, publishing in top scientific journals and writing policy briefs. His main areas of expertise relate to regional development, innovation, tourism, transformative social and economic change, and economic geography. He is fully acquainted with the EC project and programme cycle, as well as broadly with result based management approaches, monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance.
Nezih isci, MSc.
Nezih is a highly experienced tourism expert with over 20 years of experience in the sector he has been providing high-quality consultancy services for various tourism development projects. He holds MBA in Tourism Management and Master degree in Executive Management. Furthermore he has BA in Transcultural Communication and is certified Tourism Manager. Nezih was involved in providing consultancy services in the tourism sector, e.g. preparing feasibility studies or restructuring concepts, developing regional master plans and business plans. Nezih’s educational background coupled with his significant working experience in all areas of tourism make him an excellent expert in tourism development. He has BA and MA in Transcultural Communication and is certified Tourism Manager and certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor. He is fluent in Turkish, English and German.
Irina Jeliazkova – Gugleva, LLM.
Irina has been a Project Manager at ATC Consultants since 2010 and has a successful track record both in the acquisition and implementation phase of EU- and other donor-funded projects in various fields. She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French from Whittier College (CA, USA) in addition to a LLM in International Law with a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Kent (UK). A US Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, with more than 12 years of international work experience, Irina is an expert in the area of human rights and refugee law / protection, also having worked for the UN as well as in partnership with the EC and other institutions in the field. She lectured in International Relations, Human Rights and International Law at university level. She is proficient in English, French, Spanish and Bulgarian.
Lorena Gomez, MSc.
Lorena is responsible for marketing and communications at ATC Consultants. She is a PhD candidate of the University of Vienna and holds a Master of Science degree in Corporate Brand Management. With 12 years experience, she has been involved in projects working for non-profit organisations, commercial brands and advertising agencies since 2004. Combining work experience and academic research, Lorena has a holistic understanding of branding, marketing and communications, which is now applied in our strategies and projects. Her main areas of interest are corporate branding, country brands, international marketing and social development, which is why she contributes not only to our brand communications but also to our projects. She is fluent in English, Spanish and intermediate in German.
