Making things happen for sustainable winter tourism

Sustainable tourism is based on the management of all resources in a way that economic, social and ecological objectives can be achieved while maintaining cultural integrity [1]. Evaluations of natural resources, socio-economic conditions, impact on tourism development and the local economy, are some of the crucial elements to take into account when developing a sustainable tourism strategy [2].

These elements are particularly challenging for winter tourism since winter sports destinations are environmentally sensitive mountainous areas. Thus, feasibility studies should aim at sustainable results for all possible outcomes. Based on this assessment, we developed a comprehensive Master plan for the development of winter sports and sustainable tourism on the Erciyes and the Metropolitan Municipality of Kayseri.

Sustainable tourism development is one of our passions. Being fascinated by the natural and cultural richness of our planet, we strive to making this heritage accessible to tourists and preserving it for future generations. At ATC, we make things happen!
