Making things happen for sustainable energy in Macedonia

Energy constitutes a fundamental basis for global and local economies. Social, economical and environmental issues need to be considered in order to keep a balance between energy development and environmental protection. At a regional level, strategies need to be strengthened to become more competitive and aligned with global development trends. Following this purpose, we are glad to announce the successful closure of one of our energy projects in Macedonia, which aimed at achieving a more competitive energy market and integration into the Regional Energy Market.

With the specific objectives to strengthen institutional capacity of the Energy Department of the Ministry of Economy and the Energy Agency, to increase harmonisation with EU acquis and to implement energy efficiency and renewable energy policies, several legal and strategic documents were developed and numerous training sessions were delivered after 24 months of intense and effective teamwork. We want to thank our team and all local authorities involved to make this happen.

We believe the project contributed to the development of the energy sector in Macedonia in order to ensure stability in the economy, facilitate investment and increase local and sustainable economic growth. We keep working for making this happen.
